Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement®

Awareness Through Movement (ATM) lessons are easy to do gentle mindful movement explorations. Each lesson is organized around the improvement of a different aspect of human movement and functioning. During the lesson you are verbally led using guided attention through movement sequences. These mindful movement sequences may appear very simple and yet they enhance learning. Preparing for a lesson!
How do I prepare?
ATM classes online are about one hour and you often are lying on the floor, sometimes seated in a chair and occasionally standing. If you have trouble getting onto the floor, lying on a bed is fine.
Each class may be taken independently, if you miss a class, you can jump in the next one or anytime!
What do I need?
Set up a mat or blanket on the floor (unless you are on a bed). Add an extra blanket if it doesn't feel soft enough. If you are not comfortable your nervous system will not be available to learn!
Have a folded towel or small blanket nearby to have something flat under your head in case you need a head support while on your back or for lying on your side.
We will let you know if you need a chair for a class. A flat seated chair without arms is best, such as a dining room or kitchen chair.
Please wear warm comfortable clothing.
